Design fees will be outlined after the initial meeting and broken down to cover the different stages of the project; depending on the project these can be worked out on a HOURLY RATE or a FIXED FEE BASIS or a combination of the two. Usually after our first meeting I will give you a fee proposal where we agree to work on a fixed fee basis to produce your initial concept drawings up to an agreed maximum figure, from there we assess what are the likely costs to take the project through to completion and give you a breakdown of those costs.

 Fees will vary from project to project, complicated briefs, council planning requirements, or difficult topographic sites will have an effect on the costs involved and be reflected in the value of fees quoted.  When you work out your budget for the project keep in mind that additional costs such as building consent fees, consultants fees (if needed), printing costs etc.
