Design fees will be outlined after the initial meeting and broken down to cover the different stages of the project; depending on the project these can be worked out on a HOURLY RATE or a FIXED FEE BASIS or a combination of the two. Usually after our first meeting we will give you a fee proposal where we agree to work on a fixed fee basis to produce your initial concept drawings up to an agreed maximum figure, from there we assess what are the likely costs to take the project through to completion and give you a breakdown of those costs.
Fees will vary from project to project, we will need a chance to assess the requirements of each unique job before we are in a position to give your some costs. Complicated briefs, council planning requirements, or difficult topographic sites will also be reflected in the value of fees quoted. It should be remembered that your are getting a professional service and one that it could be argued is the most important in the building process.
